How to Open and Enable Console Commands in Witcher 3

Enabling console commands in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" allows you to access the developer console, where you can input various commands to modify the game.

Changing the game's configuration file

First, close The Witcher 3 game. Then, go to the game's directory and do the following:

  1. Open Steam
  2. Go to your Library
  3. Right-click on "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and select "Properties"
  4. Click on "Local Files" and then "Browse Local Files ..."

This will open up Windows Explorer to the game's directory.

Navigate to the bin > config > base folder. In this folder, you will find a file called general.ini. Open this file with Notepad.

Add the following line to the end of the file:

Do not add any quotes, apostrophes, etc. You can copy the line here:
